Linux up and running
Well, my computer is finally up and running with Fedora Core 1. In order to get it working, I had to install Fedora on a different machine, boot from a custom Fedora rescue cd with the medley module and then copy the installation from the cd to the RAID partition.
Then, it turns out that the current versions of Lilo and Grub that get distributed with Fedora do not work with ATARaid. I had to download the latest lilo version and install that to get my computer to boot. I installed the latest ATrpms kickstart. I am now running KDE 3.2.1, ATrpms kernel with Alsa and Forcedeth driver, Kaffeine, K3B and others without any problems.
After a while, I found this page which helped me configure my Logitech Internet Navigator keyboard. Together with KDE's control center, most of the hotkeys on this keyboard work. I can change the volume and mute, start my e-mail and Google and even control Kaffeine using the buttons on my keyboard.
